Journey Through Lent with YCT OECTA
As we enter the sacred season of Lent, we are called to reflect, repent, and renew our faith. This time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving offers us an opportunity to grow closer to God and deepen our commitment to living out the Gospel.
Lent invites us to embrace sacrifice, practice compassion, and seek justice in our daily lives. As Catholic educators, we walk alongside our students and colleagues, fostering a spirit of faith and service within our school communities.
Let us take this season to pause, pray, and prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter. May our Lenten journey be one of grace, transformation, and hope.

Educators in Catholic Schools across York Region
As York Region’s local unit of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA), York Catholic Teachers represents more than 4,000 members in both elementary and secondary schools of the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB).
We proudly teach and serve approximately 55,000 students from junior kindergarten through to grade 12 in 90 elementary and 16 secondary schools in communities across York Region.
